Uttarkashi Tour Overview
Kedarkantha is such a popular winter trek that it would be apt to be called the Queen of Winter Treks. Knee-deep snow in winter, mesmerising view from the top, and beautiful and easy trails make it popular among trekkers. The ‘easy on endurance’ trail goes through the thick pine forests of Govind National Park. The views from the top are worth climbing to an altitude of 12,500 ft. Kedarkantha trek will give you an inimitable view of the cosmic sky, lush meadows, snow paths, charming villages, scented pine forests, sky-knocking peaks, tranquil rivers, and some mythological story whispers.
Experience the lovely campsites, where every site is unique in its own way and does not match the beauty of any other campsites on the journey. Get a chance to camp around frozen Juda ka Talab which was once a place for meditation of Lord Shiva. Experience walking in the middle of the night, the head torches lighting the way, and watching the sunrise from the top of a mountain before you reach Summit.

Uttarkashi Tour Itinerary
Day 1
● Trekkers will be notified with details of the cab a day before your trek starts day!
● Drive along Yamuna and Tons river, with pine forests surrounding your way, and enjoy the beauty of nature at its best.
Day 2
● You will cover a total of 5 km of distance today. In this trail, one will come across many shepherd huts in open meadows which are equally delightful to see.
● The trail starts in a beautiful pine forest, just a short 10 minutes walk away from the village. The trail is wide and one can hear the sounds of running streams all through but may not be in view till much further.
● We will camp beside the small pond surrounded by Pine and Oak trees.
● One can have beautiful views of snow-clad peaks from Juda Ka Talab Campsite.
Day 3
● Post breakfast starts the trek to Kedarkantha Peak base which takes around 4 hrs to reach Kedarkantha Peak base camp.
● The trek again begins through dense forests of pine and oak trees only and through the steep ridge and much more dense ar just before reaching the Kedarkantha Base one the fascinating views of an arc-shaped range of Show clapped mountains. Enjoy hot lunch and explore the area. At night, the snow-clad mountain peaks shine bright as the moon, and you will clearly see Kedarkantha from your campsite.
● Overnight sleep at the tent.
Day 4
● As the sun rises, you'll see a dramatic show of colours in the sky and the transformation leaves you speechless. One can relax at the top for some time and enjoy the magical beauty of nature.
● After spending some quality time at the peak we trek back to the camping site in Hargaon/Juda ka Talab, and enjoy the snow slides while descending.
Day 5
● Trek down to Sankri from Hargaon / Juda ka Talab on the well-marked trail by stones.
● Trek down through the thick forest of Pine and Maple trees and at some places you will have open views of beautiful Har Ki Dun valley.
● After reaching sankri transfer to Dehradun.

- Booking: All booking for the tours /treks are made with Leafmount Adventures, hereinafter referred to as ‘the company’ and are subject to the conditions: the person signing the booking form accepts the conditions and is hereafter referred to as the client.
- Liability: The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of weather conditions, flight cancellations, war or threat of civil war, strikes, industrial action, political unrest, or any other force majeure, unusual or unforeseen circumstance. The company reserves the right to use alternate transport, or vary the itinerary if breakdown, sickness, or any other force major. Any additional result, such as extra hotel accommodation, flight or road transport will be on your charge and must be paid directly at the spot.
- Please understand, there are certain hazards involved in your adventurous and cultural holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any illness major or minor injury, death sustained during neither the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property and other losses during the trip.
- Travel insurance: This is mandatory for all clients traveling on any tour/ trek or independent itinerary arranged by us. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance covering expenses of unexpected as mentioned in the liability paragraph. The loss of baggage, medical expenses, helicopter (air or ground) rescue, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation, and curtailment of the itinerary.
- The decision of Tour/trek leader or Guide: The client agrees to accept the authority and the decision of the tour/ trek leader or escort appointed by the company whilst on tour with the company. If in the opinion of the tour/ trek leader, any client’s behavior is detrimental to the safety, welfare, or harmonious state of the group as a whole, the client may be asked to leave the tour/trek without any right of refund and all extra expenses caused will be on his/her charge.
- The organizers or any individual connected with the camp shall not be held responsible for any accident or any unforeseen natural calamity.
- Last moment changes on the program will not be acceptable. The final decision on any dispute will be taken by LEAFMOUNT ADVENTURES
- Participants are expected to be in discipline. One can be dismissed from the program/camp who is found to be misbehaving with any individual or staff members, without prior notice.
- All sightseeing and treks are by walk.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations Policy for Land Package:
- No Refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations. However,
- If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees
- If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
